Technical methanol
(methyl alcohol, carbinol)

Methanol is also called "technical" or "wood" alcohol.

It is used as a high-octane fuel additive to increase engine power while dramatically reducing exhaust emissions and improving environmental friendliness.

In oil refining, methanol is used as a solvent in the purification of gasoline from mercaptans, as well as for the separation of toluene.

We supply directly from factories in Russia (Shchekino, Novomoskovsk, Togliatti, Gubakha).

Participates in a number of industrial syntheses.
The main consumers of methanol are producers of resins and formaldehyde, as well as olefins.
Technical methanol is used in the gas industry - as a reagent to combat hydrate formation and, in part, as a reagent for drying natural gas and an inhibitor of hydrates in gas pipelines.

Most of the methanol produced is consumed by the chemical industry for the production of urotropine, acetic acid and formalin, as well as methylation products.

In the petrochemical industry, it is used for the production of isoprene and methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE).
